All Specialist areas factsheets

Money laundering regulations require certain businesses, including accountancy firms, to have systems in place to identify and prevent their services being used to disguise the proceeds of crime. This typically includes verifying client identity, assessing risk, monitoring transactions, and reporting anything suspicious to the relevant authorities, backed by internal policies, staff training and record-keeping.

As a regulated firm, we take these obligations seriously, which is why we carry out identity checks and ongoing due diligence on our own clients as a matter of routine, not because of any suspicion. We can also advise other regulated businesses on setting up proportionate anti-money laundering procedures and meeting their own supervisory obligations.
